Brix Hostel Karaoke

Are you looking for Prague karaoke, where you will get the treatment that professional singers get? You will find it on Tuesday evenings at Brix Bar & Hostel, run by KJ Scotty. With a studio background, he uses many professional tools to give each singer an individualized experience.
“EQ, compression, de-essing, reverbs, time-tapped echoes, etc. – all standard stuff, but I haven’t been to another Prague karaoke where these techniques were implemented. So I ‘had to’ create an event that covered all the necessities. I still prefer to be mingling in the crowd, but until another karaoke exists that covers everything, I’ll keep running it,” says Scott.
At the Brix karaoke, you can enjoy:
⭐ Database of songs that can be key/speed-shifted as needed and have backing vocals
⭐ Fair rotation of singers
⭐ Decent sound system
⭐ Adjustments made for each singer based on the song and their singing style
⭐ Possibility to download and add songs on the fly for songs outside of the database
Brix is also a hostel, so you can expect an international crowd, reasonable prices, and free entrance. Are you hooked yet, my karaoke lover? Come check it out!
The Prague Botanical Garden

Prague is a beautiful city, but if you, like me, sometimes get tired of the hustle and bustle of it, I’ve got the perfect escape spot for you. And you don’t even have to leave Prague!
The Prague Botanical Garden is a place to be when you want peace and calm in nature. The outdoor expositions are open for FREE for the whole winter season.
Besides, this winter season, the wine shop in the St. Claire’s Vinyard of the Prague botanical garden prepared for their visitors something special. “We have a novelty for lovers of wine specialties.” It is not the first time that local winemakers have prepared something other than the classic white, rose and red wines. In the past, it was straw wines, wine brandy, and herbal vermouth, and this year they collaborated with the Landcraft distillery. “For the first time, we got a port-type wine.”
Equilibrium by British Chamber of Commerce

“It’s for anyone who is willing to look in the mirror, anyone who is brave and wants to work on their personal development,” says executive coach, consultant, and mentor, Kristin LaRonca Parpel.
What is it, you ask? Mentoring. The British Chamber of Commerce will soon be opening the 13th edition of its women’s mentoring program, Equilibrium.
“I truly believe that every single person has a gift and a talent, and very often, people are not tapping into it. These hidden talents are pushed down for whatever reasons,” shares the member of the Equilibrium steering committee, Kristin.
Is there something you might have pushed down and want to explore? Save your spot or speak to your boss about joining the Programme for the next edition.
Loono

“I was 22 when I was diagnosed with cancer. Listening to my body saved my life then. Therefore, I decided to save the lives of others who might lose it due to underestimation of symptoms and ignorance and founded the non-profit Loono,” says MUDr. Kateřina Vacková.
Each year, I like to pick a cause or two and chip in for something good. So let me introduce you to this year’s charity of my heart. We’re talking about Loono. A prevention organization made up of young doctors and medical students who help through prevention.
And we’re not just talking about any old prevention—we’re talking about the kind where you can literally save someone’s life. Their campaign #boobsandballs teaches the self-examination of breasts and testicles to detect any issue in an early stage.
If you want to chip in, head over HERE, and help give these folks the resources they need to keep doing what they do best: saving lives!
Soňa Krupičková

“What I used to think was possible or impossible is now completely different. It’s never too late to follow your dreams,” says Soňa Krupičková.
The painter, who spent years in art studies, returned to painting after years of working in an office after she learned about serious health complications.
“I couldn’t physically go back to the office. I just couldn’t. My heart told me to keep creating. But a person’s greatest enemy is their head. I thought that no one would be interested in my paintings.”
Read in the article how she managed to face her fears and devote herself to her passion.
