3 Amazing Prague Art Projects – Inspiration of the Month

Are you brimming with excitement about what March has to offer? Warmer weather, longer days… new exciting stories on my blog 😛 I got involved in some brand new cool Prague art projects, which I can’t wait to share with you in the upcoming weeks. I also had so much fun last month talking to people about their stories, and learning some inspiring and fascinating things. So here’s a sum up of the blog highlights in February, with a sneak peek into what’s coming up in March.

Let Your Dreams Come True: Gordon’s Horror Picture Show

RHPS

This show was hot! We danced, we sang, we laughed, we yelled. And the next day it felt like it was just a dream. If you haven’t read Gordon’s story about this project, you definitely should now

Although it was the last showing of RHPS with a live band at Žižkovšiška, there’s no need to be sad. They have cool stuff going on all the time, so check out their program.

And If your heart’s still longing for some music, decadence and theatre, don’t miss the next shadow cast screening of RHPS at Kino Aero.

Klez Brandar: Lusk Dizehan // 5

klez

Read an interview with Klez Brandar. He is a photographer and traveler born in Nantes, who had his exhibition “Lusk Dizehan” opening at Ponrepo mid-February.

Rumor has it that at the event, a personal “robber” tried to take away one of Klez’s photographs. Head over to Ponrepo to check out the whole collection in the cosy atmosphere of the cinema’s cafe. If there are no more robberies, the photos will be there at least till the end of March.

The Vagina Monologues – What’s It All About? – With Melanie

melanie

In this project I found out what The Vagina Monologues are all about. I took it as an opportunity to open up a conversation with some of my girl-friends about topics we don’t often talk about. I share with you our conversation together with an insight into the English speaking production of The Vagina Monologues that just took place in Kasárna Karlín. One of the cast members, Melanie, shares her experience. Read it now.

Part of the tickets sales goes to Konsent, an organization dedicated to preventing rape and sexual harassment. Feel free to check out their website and contribute too!

And in the upcoming weeks, I’ve got some interesting interviews lined up for you

As you’re impatiently waiting for the RHPS shadow cast screening at Aero, don’t miss another special gem of theirs, The Shockproof Film Festival, happening 3-8. March. Early next week, you can read an interview with Jiří Flígl, the manager of Aero, who will tell you all about it.

Another exciting project I jumped into is a series of interviews with the organizers of the Roztoč Fest, a multi-genre art, new circus, and music festival. Next month, we’re starting with the story of the founder and main person behind the festival, Vojta Stolbenko, who will introduce us to the festival’s concept.

Last but not least. I had Marley Wildthing over for a coffee to tell me about the shooting of her new music video for her single “No Room”, which will be officially released at the end of March or early April. She reveals what her song is about and what it takes to make a music video.

Enjoy these Prague art projects! If you don’t wanna miss the next post, subscribe below, and hope to see you soon!
